Stick ‘Em Up

We met John, a local Denver musician, along with his lovely wife Becca at the Candlelight Tavern Saturday night. John, who plays guitar and bass, first grew his beard when he and Becca met (she made him do it; she's a good woman). He was both excited to be approached by Beards of Denver and bummed that he just had trimmed his awesome beard. John's favorite feature of his beard is the amazing white streak on the right side of it. John all we know is we love it all!

Polkanaut Beard

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Paco, of the wonderful polka/metal band the Polkanauts. Paco loves death metal, bike rides, and will not shy away from participating in a pickled quail egg eating contest. He’s had his glorious beard for about 11 years, though currently his beard is a bit shorter than his norm. We’ll be sure to document its growth progress at the next Polkanauts show!

Jazzy Duo

We literally danced into these two darling beards at El Chapultepec in downtown Denver recently. Chris and Rob may just be beginning to grow out their beards for Beard Season, but we have no doubt they’ll be appropriately burly and brusque in no time! Keep a look out for these two at El Chapultepec and generally around Denver to scout their progress.

King of Beards

We present to you Mr. Ryan King. This Denver native loves three things about his facial hair: it provides cranial balance when he’s jamming in his band ‘Champagne Charlie’, the ladies love it and he can braid it. We seem to be finding some common themes here…

Cat-like reflexes

Craig may look the part of the quintessential bearded mountain man, but in truth he’s a Denver urbanite by way of Illinois. He values his beard because it’s steeped in American Indian tradition (he can fill you in more about that), while also acting like his feelers, similar to the whiskers of a cat. No matter what, though, Craig’s was one, if not the, most pronounced beard on East Colfax tonight.

Indie Beard

It might not be too much of a surprise to find some amazing beards at an Indie Rock Show, and Josh had one of the best tonight at the Bluebird Theater. When asked what the benefits of his beard are, Josh noted a high intimidation factor, it’s obvious lovability, and it’s practicality–it keeps him warm as he bikes around D-Town. Keep a look out for his great beard while we’re you’re out cycling around town; you won’t regret it.

This Beards for You

We met this magical duo in the most appropriate setting possible: Partying their beards off at the Telluride Bluegreass Festival. You can typically find these two boisterous bearded men out with Six Pack Sports–they bowl, they broomball, they even partake in human foosball. No one can quite grow a beard like an Andrew can…

Red rockin

Adam is not only our favorite Red Rocks bartender, is not only the owner of an amazing tandem bike with golden spokes and velour seats, but he also brings it here with both the amazing beard AND the handlebar mustache. Be still our beard-bleeding hearts.

Mysterious Musician

Though we’re only giving you a taste of this mysterious musician’s beard, rest assured that TJ proudly sports his manly beard at LAMA Live shows all around town!
