Metal Brewery Beard, It’s TRVE

We had the pleasure to meet Nick at the Denver Beer Festivus sponsored by Imbibe.com on Saturday in Denver. Nick is the proprietor at TRVE Brewing Company located at Second and Broadway, which specializes in making great brews AND playing metal music. Nick, originally from the east coast, started growing his beard around 2006, and has had his current beard about six months. His favorite thing about his beard is the attention it gets him, and deservedly so! TRVE Brewing Company is currently open Wednesday through Saturday, but in January you can enjoy a brew there on Sundays, too. We encourage you to drop by sooner than later—it’s not everywhere you can enjoy a great beer, metal music, and admire an awesome beard.

Beard Lust for the Holidays

We happened upon Will and his long and luxurious beard on Friday night at the SIE Film Center (formerly the Colfax Film Center) where he works. He’s been growing his beard for about 13 months, and again, laziness is a key factor to the production of Will’s awesome beard, not-to-mention he’s blessed with exceptionally speedily beard growth. Originally from Southern Illinois, Will, who lives in Denver now, told us his beard is currently the longest it’s ever been, and his lovely wife Rebecca certainly approves; at their wedding last year they even played the song “Beard Lust” by the band Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head. Trust us, you should queue up that song ASAP, it’s totally worth a listen! Thanks Will!

Other Worldly Beard

Ryan was another beardie we were lucky enough to meet at the Of Monsters and Men show in Boulder last week. Ryan’s had his beard for about four years, and again, laziness in reference to shaving is the main contributor to his handsome beard. Ryan is another wonderful Colorado native beard: he now lives in Boulder, but grew up in the Littleton area. While growing out that amazing facial mane, he works as a mechanical engineer for the University of Colorado in satellite and space weather research. We’d certainly vouch that his beard is out of this world!

Monstrous yet Manly

We met Brad in Boulder at the Of Monsters and Men show last week. His main reason for growing his beard is, like so many men we encounter, is laziness (in regards to shaving). Brad usually keeps his beard for a month or two before shaving it and starting over. He spent some time in Alaska in recent years, where his beard was really able to grow out to its full glory. We can only imagine how magnificent it was!. Brad and his beard are Colorado natives and we sure hope he decides to extend his beard’s lifetime, at least throughout the current Beard Season!

The Bold and the Beard-iful

We couldn't NOT approach Cory and inquire about his bold and brash beard. A Colorado native, he and his beard have resided in Denver for the past two years, and he's been growing his beard about fie years. He rocks his beard mainly because his wife loves it (obviously, a woman of great taste!) and he used to like "bad facial hair" and thought it was funny to groom his facial hair in a variety of ways, until he realized the beard suited him best. Cory works as a social worker in the Denver area, helping connect the community to different resources, and we're sure his awesome beard is a great asset to that cause. Awesome to meet you and admire your beard, Cory!

Bearded Beer Trafficker

We had the pleasure of meeting Dan and admiring his awesome beard while trying the Wynkoop's Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout beer at the Bacon and Beer Fest at Mile High Station Sunday (trust us--the beer was extremely tasty and the beard extraordinarily rad). When Dan isn't hocking Wynkoop beers at the Bacon and Beer fest, he's busy with sales for Wynkoop around the Denver area. He's been growing his beard since October 1st and plans to shave it April 1st, and we'll be sure to have a progress report for you at that time--we can't wait to see the final results!

Bacon, Beards, Beers, Buddies

We were lucky enough to happen upon @Moush_Tastic (left) and Gino (right) at the Denver Bacon and Beer Festival on Sunday. @Moush_Tastic has been in Denver about two years and enjoys changing up his facial hairstyles between the stand alone 'stache and the beard, and Gino's a Denver native who's been growing his beard about two-and-a-half months and will keep it until January, when a trip to Mexico may call for shaving it (we hope he reconsiders, though!) These buddies were thoroughly enjoying the bacon and the beer and their beards added to the fabulousness of the event. Cheers dudes!

Wits End, White Stripes

We met Scott, self-professed Owner, Brewer, and Dream at Wits End Brewing Company in Denver at the Beer and Bacon Fest at Mile High Station in Denver on Sunday. Scott's been growing his impressive beard since August, and when asked if the coloration was natural his response was "Do I look like a guy who'd dye his beard?" It's that amazing natural talent we love and appreciate here at Beards of Denver. Originally from Seattle, Scott's been in Denver about 11 years and we highly recommend going to Wits End to say hi to Scott, admire his beard, and sample Wits End's amazing coffee beer--you won't be disappointed in the coffee or the beard!

Ballroom Beard

Britt and his beard are fairly new editions to Denver--they've only been here about 5 months, before that residing in Buffalo, Arizona, and California. He attributes his amazing beard to sloth-like qualities; he's lazy when it comes to shaving so the beard is a great alternative. He also was envious of his brother's amazing beard which lead him to grow his out. In addition to his beard-like talents, he's an all-star ballroom dancer; take notice, all you beard and dance fans!

Glitter-tastic

Nick and his glitter-tastic beard impressed us today at the Ugly Sweater 5K fun run in City Park. Nick, who is originally from Idaho, has been known to glitterize and otherwise accessorize his beard for multiple occasions, and he didn't disappoint today; among the many bearded dudes (and ugly sweaters) in the park, he stood out above the rest. He's had his beard for the better part of the past four years, and we sure hope he continues to glitterize it for years to come!
